37 weeks

Well, even more progress....3 cm and 75% effaced with a little munchkin weighing in around 6 lbs/4 oz (but that is give or take around 8 oz) so she could be as small as 5/12 or as big as 6/12.

Her heart rate was around 154 and she was "practicing" her breathing which was fun to watch. She was moving and squirming (as much as she had room to) and her toes were so cute, skinny & long just like Claire's were!

The doctor said see you in a week, but that she really thinks Caroline will come sometime this week! So will she make her appearance before the end of June or will she come with the fireworks this weekend.....we'll see!!

36 weeks

Another checkup today and things look good. More progress: 2cm & 60% effaced, so she is working hard & getting ready for her big day! We got our L&D tour and got to preregister, so all is ready when we get to the hospital. I go back next week for my weekly check and another ultrasound to see how much she weighs. Will post new updates soon!

Happy Fathers Day

This week was another busy one, but good! Lots of time at the pool, playing with friends, and music & art class. We got to make some fun fathers day gifts for daddy and her favorite was a t-shirt that she could color, draw and design herself. She decided to trace her hand prints and then added some very creative pictures of herself :) Daddy loved it, of course! We enjoyed a family date afternoon at the movies while it stormed on Sat and then went out to dinner to celebrate fathers day. It was a good weekend with some special "last few days of just the three of us" bonding time!!

Ready & waiting!

We have finally put the finishing touches on the nursery and are ready to bring home another sweet baby girl! We love going in there and just taking in that special place we've created for her. Of course, someone told me when I had Claire to take plenty of nursery pictures before hand, because it will never look that clean, neat & organized again! I found that to be so true and know that with a newborn and a 2 yr old, it wont stay this way for long!

Claire dates

This week has been so much fun with Claire. We came back from vacation and it has been nonstop, but such a great week! With fun play dates, vacation bible school (which she LOVED), her music classes starting back up, and the best morning was our mommy and me date at the movies. They did a showing of Charlotte's Web and we had such a fun time together. We hit the movies and then went to lunch to meet Jackson and Patton.

I had a few "me" nights this week too, which was wonderful! My great friends gave me a shower on Wed night and then I went to a really fun jewelry party on Thursday night with some girls from church. Friday was art class and this weekend we plan on enjoying some family pool time and celebrating with Patton on his baptism Sunday.

Another big event this week- baby Kennedy was born Tuesday and we are so excited that she is here & all are healthy and doing well! Caitlin and Carson are over the moon with their new little sister and Claire is getting some good practice for our turn in the next couple of weeks!

We have had the best time at bible school this week! They have done an amazing job and all the kids (around 850 total!!) are loving every minute of it! Claire comes home singing all the songs and even knows some of the hand motions that go along with them! It is so cute to to hear her talk about the activities each night at dinner and she is so anxious to show me her craft every afternoon when I pick her up!

34 weeks

So this was quite an exciting doctor's visit-although we still have a few more weeks we have definitely made some progress! I was dilated to 1 cm and 50% effaced this morning at my appointment. This doesn't mean she's coming tomorrow, but things are well on there way to go time! We are getting very excited and I'm going to TRY to take things easy for the next 2 weeks while we finish getting ready and making each second count just the 3 of us! I'm hoping to make it to my next appt on the 22nd without having to go back in, but will keep everyone posted if things change!

We started back to our music class this week and it was perfect with a beach and ocean theme! Claire was loved pretending to make castles, play in the waves, all the sea creatures and fun songs!

What a great trip! Claire had a blast running on the beach, playing in the ocean, swimming in the pool and having constant attention for a week! We had perfect weather, great food and enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

Now back to the real world and a week that's jammed packed with play dates, doctor appts, Vacation Bible School, a baby shower and hopefully some tackling of the to do list before the littlest Lucado makes her debut!!
