Highlights & Milestones

AHHH, vacation I can almost feel it! 3 more days until its toes in the sand for a week at the beach!

Busy busy busy packing, errands, and kids but life is good and vacation will be great!

A few highlights and milestones from the past few days....

Caroline's new thing is roller derby-yes-I mean it, she's a crazy roller and fast I tell you, fast! She can get in her crawling position, hop, scoot and leap to get there, but forget it-rolling gets you there faster! Then plop-she's up in a sitting position and happy as a clam!

She also learned 'the itsy bitsy spider' this week---precious!!! She does her little fingers and just studies and her favorite part is 'out came the sun and dried up all the rain'....oh that girl has my heart! So Sweet!!!

Also on the list-recognizing animals and making the sound-her fav-the duck! Nothing really comes out but she makes her mouth move just like mine as I say quack quack quack. And whenever she hears the word or sees a duck she makes that cute as a button mouth movement! She's getting pretty good at moo and woof too! And she loves a fishy face-makes her just squeal!


Now onto Out of the Mouth of Claire...

~'Mommy, when I get tall (that means big to her) can you get me a jewelry box so when you let me get my ears {fierced} I can keep them in it?'

~She picked a huge plastic yellow ring out of a treasure box at the doc office, looks at me and says, 'oh mom, I prayed for a ring when I was in my bed last night!'

~jewelry on-check, sunglasses on-check, my purse on her arm and my flip flops on her feet-check... 'ok, I'm going to my meeting at church with my church friends, go to bed good for daddy and I'll tuck you in when I get home!'

~'oh I cant wait to get to the beach...it's Carolines first time-she's going to love it! But mom-she went last year-you know in your belly!'

~from the backseat of the car-'mom, Caroline and I are holding hands...she's my best friend!'

Wow! What a fast first year of preschool! It was a great year for Claire and she loved going to school, making new friends and having wonderful teachers! When I got her up that morning for her last day, she said, 'oh mom, I will miss my teachers and school friends, but after summer I get to go to my new 3 year old class!' She doesnt miss a beat!

9 & 10 months

9 months-17 lbs/3 oz and 28 inches long
LOVES to clap, still play peek a boo and waves like crazy! And as you can see, she loves her tongue and smiling all the time! What a happy girl!

10 months

I mean could you not just eat her with a spoon?! Precious this one! Her first tooth finally came in and she has lots more 'in route' to making an appearance! She is still crab walking, rolling, or scooting to get where she needs to go, but will hop in a crawling position once or twice before getting lazy and rolling over to crab walk!

10 months

She is such a joy-brings laughter and smiles everyday! She loves being 'found' sitting up in her crib in the mornings, however sometimes she gets this way in the middle of the night and I don't find it too humerus at 2 am! :) But how could you not want middle of the night love from that little bug :) Its good snuggle time-even if we're both half asleep ;)

Cant believe we are planning a big Popsicle Pool party for her 1st birthday-less than 2 months away...what happened to my baby?!
