Fall Days
This weekend was a bit of a blur since all 3 of us were running on little sleep and were a bit delirious....but we made the best of it. Here is little miss sitting up in her crib (no she didn't do it on her own), but it was still cute and had to be captured. We spent Sunday afternoon at the Whitewater Center trying to enjoy some fresh air and the fall weather. We had lunch outside and walked around watching the kayak's and boats going down the rapids. And of course enjoyed pushing around our new stroller. Claire and I joke and say that "BOB" is the new man in our life!

6 months old
Look who's a half a year old!
I'm not sure how, but somehow we've made it to 6 months already! We will be planning her first birthday before you know it!
She did great at her check up on Monday, passed all the developmental tests, weighed 13 lbs/4 oz, was 25 1/2 inches long and took her shots like a champ!
She is just growing SO fast! She talks constantly and that sweet little voice is my favorite! She is rolling over all the time and is always on her tummy in the mornings.

Good morning!
Very busy playing

The Perfect Day
What a great Saturday! We started off by going to Festival in the Park down at Freedom Park and had a blast. We had a wonderful Charlotte fall day to walk around, check out the exhibits and of course taste the funnel cakes! Then we met some friends for lunch and on the way to the restaurant Claire had a "huge, never been bigger" explosion. With a major scrub down in the back seat, a new outfit and a whole pack of wipes later she felt MUCH better! Then we went and made a very exciting purchase of a new jogging stroller! We had been looking for a while and finally decided to buy one. We tested it last night on our walk and we love it! Here are a few pictures from our adventurous day.

Growing, Growing....
Whew, where do I start....
We have had a lot going on with a little one that acts like she's feeling fine (except for not sleeping), but has a cold and a tummy ache. We had a great time on our retreat last weekend, but it made her cold a little bit worse and on top of that we are having some pooping issues (or lack there of). After a trip to the pediatrician on Monday (she weighed a whopping 13 pounds/3 ounces) we have halted the rice cereal while trying to get things back on track and have been using some juice to off set the constipation.
So she had some juice in her new sippy cup this week, which went ok, she just wanted to chew on the spout instead of suck the juice out. She also has been sitting up a lot more on her own...she gets better everyday. She wanted to do it herself yesterday, so after several face plants to the carpet and a little rug burn on her checks, I got some action shots of her being a big girl!
She is full of laughs, words and movement! She loves to smile and laugh at you or herself and she talks all the time saying ma, ba, da, and new as of yesterday la. She does a very cute "mmmmm" noise with her mouth when she is hungry and especially if she sees her milk!
She still loves to jumpy in her jumperoo, likes to be the princess in her bumbo, plays in the bath (she never wants to get out) and totes around with mom whatever the adventure is for the day. We went this morning to meet some friends for brunch and then went to the Kids Konsignment sale at church. So she hung out in the Bijorn and "shopped" with mom, she is absolutely all girl and was definitely born to be a shopper....daddy's wallet is in trouble!
We have found our feet and toes too! She grabs at them all the time and now when she's on the changing table they go right into her mouth. It's very cute and we have fun singing about it!
We tried some applesauce tonight, which she loved! She couldn't get it fast enough and we're hoping that helps out a little with her tummy issues.

Camping Adventure
We had a great time camping this past weekend at Camp Dickenson in Galax, VA with seven other couples. It was a wonderful time had by all...the men got to canoe and fish the New River and the ladies got lunch out alone with some shopping time while the kids had fun playing with sitters. There were TONS of little ones around and Claire loved playing with the boys!

Roller Baby
Well....this morning while playing on her play mat as I was getting dressed, someone took a break from her "pull ups" that she does by hanging onto all the toys, to roll over and see what was on the bottom of the play mat. So when I turned around and she was on her stomach, I was not only surprised but ran to get the camera to try and capture it. She stayed for all of two seconds, enough to pose for a picture and then back over onto her back she went. I think I scared her to death, because I was praising her and laughing while she looked at me like you idiot, it's no big deal! So she is now rolling from back to front and front to back.....watch out world!

Labor Day Weekend
What a fun weekend we had....we went to Roanoke to spend the holiday weekend. Claire was very busy visiting with grandparents, aunts and uncles, going to her first wine festival, helping mommy & daddy celebrate their anniversary, and eating her rice cereal for the first time which was promptly followed by a bath in the sink! Here are a few memorable pictures from the weekend.
