14 months old
What a sweet little gift from God! Not sure how she is 14 months old but she is such a fun, loving, care free little spirit and we are so blessed and thankful for her! She is quiet the ham and loves to laugh! As you can see, life is never boring and as she continues to pull up, stand and trying to cruise life is only going to get busier! Love this girl!!

Why I love her...
Claire & I after school getting ready for nap time....
'Mom, guess what my friend LuLu told me? She saw RAPUNZEL at Disney World! I told her I didn't get to see her when I was there, but I did see other princesses, remember mom?!'
'I sat next to Chloe during circle time today, she only came to school once but she came back today...I don't know, maybe she was sick or something.'
Me: 'Do you have a friend named Micah in your class?'
Claire: 'Yes! He loves to get me!'
Me: 'You mean like play tag or chase?'
Claire: 'No, he just likes being right up next to me!'
'Mom, lay with me for a minute, OK? And I want you to come up here and lay close in my face so I can kiss your head and talk!'
Me: 'So do you like your new friends at school?'
Claire: 'Yes, I miss my old friends but you know what I love the others...like James, Oliver, & Dean. I guess I like the girls too-like Ava and Mary Aspin-but they are my old friends too!'
Me: 'Did your teacher help you with your belt during potty time?'
Claire: 'Yes, but you know what mom? Our school room bathroom was all messed up-I think they are making it new, so we had to use the mommy potty over by the alligator!' {remember that means elevator}
Me: 'Guess who comes in 2 days?'
Claire: 'Grandma!! but I don't think Poppa can come-he'll probably be at work. Oh no mom-what if he comes home and doesn't know where Grandma is?! Maybe she should leave him a note-I really don't want him to be lonely-well I guess he has Maggie!'
Her Prayer:
'Dear God, thank you for a wonderful day. I love all my friends & my family and my dog Gabby-she's a good dog, well except when she eats poop! Amen'
And finally as I'm walking out of her room-'Hey mom, you don't have to worry about germs today...Ava did have a cough, but I used hamitizer all day!' {that would be hand sanitizer}
A few from yesterday:
Opening a new box of shoes: 'Oh my goodness, those are Uh-dorable!'
Caroline pulling up on the kitchen chair: 'Mom, look at this woman!'
Taking a friend dinner who had a baby: 'Mom, I really think we should have another baby-a boy and name him Ben. I have 2 friends named Ben, I like the name Ben!'

Catching Up & Here Comes Fall!
Well we went from 98 degrees to low 70's all in an evening and I just saw the first glimpse of the sun since Sunday morning! I believe fall has arrived and hopefully we'll get to enjoy a little more sunshine before true fall sets in!
Its been cool at preschool drop off this week and even stomped in some rain puddles at pick up but we are supposed to see 80's again this weekend!
We are in the full swing of our new fall routine and things are definitely feeling more crisp, ORANGE and pumpkin all around! Its Football time in Tennessee again and of course that means the power T and vividly bright orange is everywhere in Knoxville!
Claire is loving being back at school and is really enjoying her new class, teacher & friends. Caroline and I are loving our little secret mornings together and sometimes sneak to meet daddy for lunch at least once during the week! (Claire still thinks we go to school too while she is there until she randomly busts me and discovers I wasn't actually at the church all morning). My favorite was the other day she saw a Starbucks cup and immediately wanted to know how that got at home on the office desk...whoops!
Here are a few things going on in her little world:
.school
.music class
.play dates
.RAPUNZEL
.loves dressing herself
.helping daddy pack his lunch each morning, having daddy/daughter breakfast time and walking him to his car
.RAPUNZEL
.playing, swinging, running, taking walks-anything outside
.playing momma & baby (anyone who has been around her knows exactly what I'm talking about) :)
.crawl time with Caroline after dinner and before bath time
.helping me unload and load the dishwasher
.helping set the table, make dinner and cleaning (yes-shes definitely my child!)
.did I mention RAPUNZEL??!! :)
and last but not least a few lovable, unforgettable Claire quotes:
"absolutely Shirley Bob!"
"well actually..." "definitely" "I'm pretty sure"
"not appropriate!"
"burrito chips" (Doritos)
"rabidolli" (ravioli)
"conbertibles" (convertible-or cars without lids-ha!)
And now on to little miss Caroline-whew, where to start! She is growing so fast, exploring everywhere, into everything and little miss- I CAN DO IT MYSELF!! She totally thinks she is a big kid and can do and go just like Claire! She has started pulling up on everything, LOVES climbing the stairs and is fast as lightening! She stands in her crib and attempts to move her feet if you help her, but still has no sense of walking yet-which is fine by me :) take your time girl!
Her hair is still blonde as ever, is finally laying down and is WAY thicker than Claire's hair will ever be! She is still the life of the party-happy all the time (except when told no and she wants to do it herself)! Her daddy calls her-'her own little party!'
She is all girl just like her sister-loves playing baby, rocks them, loves them and tries to feed them a bottle! Its instinctive, I swear! She still loves playing peekaboo, loves music-is a dancing queen, reads books and occasionally still does her duck face!
She is learning new words everyday and is still a bit slower than Claire was with talking but definitely communicates just fine! She gets her point across anyway she can! Her favorite new word is bird and she adores music class! Not crazy about dropping sissy off at school but loves picking her up in the afternoons!
We are happy to be moving into a new season and with that comes new busy schedules, birthday parties, football games, baby showers, weddings, Chris and I are starting a new Sunday school class & small group and Chris is coaching a 7 & 8 year old soccer team at church. So as usual life is moving at warp speed but we are trying to enjoy the small things too and soak up as much special family time as we can steal away!
Chris and I were supposed to enjoy a fun getaway weekend last week to celebrate our anniversary without the girls but Caroline ended up sick so we chose not to go. We did get a few dates over the weekend and got some alone time with a movie, dinner and errands/coffee without kids! Even though it doesn't compare to a full 3 days without wiping, cleaning, feeding, bathing, rocking, and entertaining it was nice and every little break counts to us :) Any meal that doesn't involve Chick Fil A or Pizza is a gourmet meal in my book! Ha!
Happy Fall to all!
