Date Night

So after 3 1/2 months we got a night out alone! Auntie Jess came to the rescue and stayed with Claire while we went out on Friday. We got a couples massage at the Ballantyne Resort and then stayed for dinner out on the terrace enjoying the Caribbean music and cuisine! It was such a great night and we only checked in at home twice :) Even though we thought about her every minute, it was great to have time together alone and "catch up" on all the little things we don't have time for anymore!

Days of Summer

We had a busy day today....we went to Story Hour at the library where we read books, sang songs, played with hand puppets & BUBBLES!! It was lots of fun and Claire really enjoyed it! Then we went uptown and met Daddy for lunch, what a nice treat for all of us!

Trip to Discovery Place

We had a fun morning out with a picnic lunch downtown and some play time at Discovery Place. Even though the babies couldn't do much, it was still lots of fun!

Pool Days

Claire had her first trip into the pool....she wasn't quite sure at first about the cold water on her toes, but then she decided it was fun and loved playing in her turtle float!

Surviving....

So the first (of many, I'm sure) cold/infection hit our family this week....

Chris picked up something while traveling last week and then it became progressively worse while trying to enjoy some time at the beach. Claire & I tried to stay away, but the bug got her on Sunday. She is a trooper though and is hanging in there, still laughing and smiling even though she can't breath....it's quite pitiful!

I'm staying strong and fighting like crazy to keep it away....so far so good. I made Chris camp out in the guest room for the last several days and I've been "lysol-ing" everything I can :)

We're heading to Roanoke tomorrow to enjoy the holiday weekend and spend time with family. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!
