Flash forward 5 years

I don't know why, but when I was watching Claire play tonight my mind flashed forward 5 years from now to her first day of kindergarden..bow in hair, backpack on, cute dress & new kicks to match. I saw her standing there waiting on the bus waving goodbye and so excited to meet new friends. She is just growing way too fast...I am trying to enjoy every second and soak up every little memory.

Back in Charlotte

We had a great trip to TN over the weekend...quality time with Uncle Tyler, met new friends, enjoyed the 4th and looked at neighborhoods/houses! It was busy, but lots of fun. We found several areas/houses that we liked and it was great to explore and become familiar with the city. Claire really had a good time with Tyler and Buddy while we were out with the realtor all day Friday. We went to a cookout for the 4th on Sat at Bruce and Marsha's where Claire got to meet several new friends (actually cousins). She also enjoyed getting to spend time with Autumn and Zoe (Tyler's bosses 2 girls). It was a fun holiday weekend and hopefully we can make some decisions over the next few weeks before making the move next month. Lots of options and exciting times ahead!

Farewell Eldon Drive

Today we signed the closing paperwork, turned over our keys and said one last goodbye to Eldon Drive. It has been an emotional few days, but we are trying to look on to the new & exciting days ahead. What great times and memories this chapter in our life has held; but once again those will travel on with us and will continue in a new place. What a great house this was and it will always be an important part of us. Farewell little house and we hope that the future families that fill you will always know how special you are!
