Happy Fall
Well...I keep telling myself that I am going to do better at this whole 'making time for blogging'...so far, I've failed! Adding another child to the gang has been a really smooth process, but going 300 mph with a newborn in tow, not so smooth. Things are busy, hectic and go, go, go and we have blinked and our newborn has turned 3 months old! Between music class, art class, preschool, church, errands, chores and work we never stop...sometimes not even to sleep (that would be a thanks to Claire, not Caroline)! But life is good, blessed and crazy! Ours days have been flying by and Aug & Sept have come and gone in the blink of an eye.
Claire LOVES school! She gets so excited when its a school day, likes helping me pack her lunch and cant get the words out fast enough when telling me about her day! Her teachers are great and she has met some fun new friends! We are definitely learning some things too...some good, some not so good :) We have picked up some new tricks, words, and actions (not to mention a cold or two), but hey that's what happens with school and kids. She is growing like a weed...long legs and skinny waist! She still loves playing babies, princesses and anything that involves being outside. She keeps us on our toes and if we aren't laughing at something she has done or said, then its a little too quiet and she's probably into something!
Caroline is a dream baby! We though we had it good with Claire, but she is such a great baby (thank goodness with a 2 yr old)! She eats like a champ, sleeps terrific (already sleeping 12 hours a night) and goes with the flow as we're constantly on the go. I have said she is going to grow up thinking her car seat was her best friend, but what else do you do??!! I cant believe she is 3 months old already. Her 2 month appt came and went and we over came the first round of shots, her weighing in at 10 pounds and gaining 2 inches in length. She is into 3-6 month clothes, but some of those are already too short! She absolutely LOVES Claire! She is always smiling, laughing and "talking" to her whenever she sees her or hears her voice. She is the happiest thing I've ever seen and other than a little gas or constipation she has had not one issue! We are so lucky to have such a great baby!
Chris is busy, busy, busy with work and loves any little break in the action! He got to enjoy a fishing trip with the boys, a fun but wet game of football in Neyland stadium and a weekend alone when the girls and I headed to Roanoke for a few days. I believe they are in the midst of planning a camping trip for the weekend and mommy said, oh I do think a spa day is in my near future!! We are trying to get the back yard project under way and of course his honey do list is always growing!
I have enjoyed every minute of being a mommy of two, but of course it doesn't come without some hard, long, tiring and stressful days. However, I would not trade my job for the world and feel so blessed that they are my full time and rewarding job. I stay busy with Claire's activities but also enjoy getting to my moms groups at church, bible study, girls nights, exercising and any alone time with my husband....most of the time that happens between the hours of midnight and 630 am! Unless there is a 2 yr old wanting rocked or a baby wanting to eat.
That is a quick and fast over view of our life for the past few weeks and hopefully I will succeed in getting some more alone time to blog better updates :) But more than likely not and it will be Christmas before you hear from me again!! Until then, enjoy this beautiful fall!!
