New home sweet home
Well we finally have a place to call home. It was a very stressful and crazy few weeks but as we landed on the 4th house, we got an agreed upon contract! We had the inspection this afternoon and if all went well, we will close Thursday August 27th and move in that weekend. We are excited, anxious and ready to have a place to call home again!

SHINE
On Monday, July 13th this was my daily devotional that I get in my email from Proverbs 31 Ministries. I attempted to cut and paste the whole thing into a new blog post, but failed. So here is my brief over view and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did....

Van Walton
"Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever." Daniel 12:3
"If only I knew God's plan for my life, I could plan the future."
Have you ever made that statement? I think we all do at some time in our lives, I know I have.
"We have these opportunities, do we go here or there?"
Silence
"We want to go where you lead us. Where would that be?"
Silence
"We want to honor you."
Silence
As you look back and consider your options, you realize God has laid out very unique opportunities for us to serve him and each chance to minister followed under one universal command, "Let your light shine. Love one another."
We realize God isn't going to tell us where to move, which job to except or which direction to take your life. However, he has a very important message:
"It really doesn't matter where you are. You are in Me and I am in you. Wherever you live, wherever you go, wherever you work, you will find people who need me. Introduce them to your Heavenly Father. Live a life that encourages others to seek me. Love all people. Teach them how to live. Use your life, your actions and My Word. That is what you can do whether you live here or there. Remember wherever you go, I am with you. Wherever you go, take Me with you and let your light shine."
As I said before, God never answers specifics, but we make our choice to take God with us asking him to use our lives to bring His light to others.
Ever wonder what God's will is for your life? Simple, SHINE!

16 months
Yet another month has gone by and every time the date gets to the 23rd, I realize just how quickly life goes! Claire is 16 months old today and is more unbelievable everyday! She truly blows my mind with something new constantly and is quick to listen, watch and learn all the time. Her mind is in motion every second and she is turning into a little girl more and more.
She has the best personality; sweet, polite, loving, caring, daring, excited and always has a grin on that sweet little face. (Don't get me wrong, she can definitely throw a quick attitude when told no or if she wants to do something on her own! She is very head strong, independent and strong willed)!
Yesterday at Gymboree a little boy fell and started to cry. I saw her standing there watching him run to his mommy and as she was comforting him, Claire looked at me and said, "sad." She was so worried about him and the fact that he was crying at such a fun place.
Everywhere we go she is waving, smiling and saying hi to ANYONE she can. She never meets a stranger and wants to catch everyones attention (which she does just on her cute looks alone :).
She told me Wednesday morning before her nap that she had gone "poopy" and indeed she had. I'm hoping this will be a positive sign of easy potty training for the future!
Some of her most recent words are: jewelry, rain, color, "nay" for a horse, "doodle do" for a rooster, & grandma (thank goodness).
She loves to run, chase, play, hop/jump, march and dance to any music! Her coloring skills are something to behold and her singing plus the motions for each song are priceless!
She is absolutely the best thing in the world. Her kisses are like nothing else, and when she smiles ear to ear when you walk into the room, your heart instantly melts! I tell her everyday that I wished and wished for her & that God answered my wishes and she sits there shaking her head yes (with her very dramatic head nod). It is really quite precious!
