Happy Turkey Day

Festival of Trees

Give Thanks

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day and enjoyed celebrating the holiday with those they love! We had a wonderful day just the 3 of us and was proud I successfully cooked my first turkey day dinner (that turned out quite delicious if I do say so myself!)! I decided to take just a second to make my list of what I'm thankful for, so here it is:

~I have a loving and devoted husband who is an amazing dad.
~I have the most beautiful, healthy and perfect little girl.
~I have a wonderful family who loves and supports us.
~I grew up in a house with unconditional love and learned the meaning of family.
~I have a dad who taught me to be a leader, work hard, respect myself and that I could do anything I put my mind to.
~I know and understand what the phrase, a mothers love is all about, given and received.
~I have an awesome sister who works hard to keep streets safe and is the strongest woman I know (mind and body).
~I have, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best brother in the world.
~I grew up with 4 grandparents that were huge influences in my life and so happy my children will have that same experience.
~I have the most amazing friendships and treasure them in my heart.
~Some of most special people in my life came in very unexpected ways, but God knew that they would mean the world to me.
~I have given birth to two baby girls that have forever changed my life.
~God has always provided a roof over my head, clothes on my back, and food on my table.
~My husband has a great job and has a chance to make the world a better place everyday.
~I have been so lucky to be a stay at home mom and would not trade that role for anything in the world.
~And last but not least, that we have a great new house and new city to explore and enjoy for the next few years.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

20 Months

I dont have a lot of time to write much, but I think the main highlight from the last month would have to be her talking progress....she does it nonstop, is finally making sense, and says phrases. My absolute favorite thing she says is her "full name," if you ask her that, she responds, (of course in her own version) "addison claire." Its adorable.

The other things she does is tell you, "right back" "stay here" which of course means, I'm going to get into something and dont follow me. This morning she picked up a piece of crumb off the floor and went flying into the kitchen and when I asked her what she was doing, she replied, "trash can, throw it away." Well ok then! She wants to talk to everyone on the phone constantly, anytime it rings or will bring me the phone and say, "call, whoever" (we will be in serious trouble when she gets older!).

She finally got over the cold/flu mess and we even got to enjoy some pretty days in November. We are anxious to spend our first thanksgiving together alone and start some new Knoxville holiday traditions. And of course we cant wait for the month of December and all the fun events the Christmas holiday season will bring! She loves snowmen, reindeer, and santa, so we'll see what happens this year!
